Where can I download free software from Simple Logic? You can download many free software packages from http://simplelogic.com/Download/.
What is the difference between the 'Full Install' and the 'DLL Only' packages? The full install packages include all the necessary runtime libraries and will automatically register the component for you.
If you already have the necessary runtime libraries installed on your system, you can install the 'DLL Only' package.
I downloaded and installed a COM component but it doesn't seem to work. What should I do? Be sure you downloaded the 'Full Install' version unless you require the dll only.
Try running to run regsvr32 component name (where component name is the name of the file installed) from the component's directory.
Example: regsvr32 dbTools.dll Also, be sure that whatever user is calling the object has execute permissions on the object itself.
This may be the IUSR_COMPUTERNAME account if calling the object from an ASP Script.
The calling user must also have read permissions on the appropriate registry keys.
How can I get additional support for free software from Simple Logic? Read the documentation. Try the examples. If those methods fail, you may contact

I installed the DLL Only package and it doesn't seem to work. What should I do? The dll only packages do not automatically register the objects.
After installing the dll only package, be sure to run
regsvr32 component name (where component name is the name of the file installed) from the component's directory.
Example: regsvr32 dbTools.dll
