vProvider moves mid-size companies to the
Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) model, where
any application can be accessed via Application Programming Interfaces (API)
that use a standard syntax, e.g., IDL, XML, etc.
vProvider conforms to underlying data structures
of databases or data is imported into the
application to provide row-level access control.
vProvider renders interfaces specific to datasets in real time.
The primary interface is comprised of objects, represented as HTML and
accessible from an HTTP gateway. Objects are arranged in category
heiarchies and are cross-referenced between categories
with symbolic links.
vProvider offers flexible interoperability by utilizing this primary
(presentation) layer with application and data layers
in a single application.
The menuing system is a dynamic category hierarchy
containing objects of all classes such as:
- text
- images
- links
- containers
- code (dynamically executed)
vProvider is capable of branded display.
Every object is defined and secured to each user on
vProvider. Each user's menu of
objects pertains to their individual or group responsibilities.
Users within the same organization can have different HTML themes.
New objects are easily added
and made available to the users immediately.
Data nodes make data sources accessible by users as a service.
Management nodes provide control for services.
Management nodes require only accessability to the vProvider engine
and the service control endpoint. Management nodes must be
cabable of transactional service deployment.
vProvider Access Control List (ACL) schema can be extended across diverse datasets
for consisent security levels from the vProvider interface.
Complex ACL schema may require custom
ACL editors to manage them within vProvider.
User session management is managed at the server by a SQL database and
provides application scalability on the front end.
Databases that interface to vProvider can reside anywhere;
a communication path to the data source will
incorporate diverse datasets in the vProvider interface.
