Simple Logic™ Licensing Component enforces
licensing of software over the internet.
The system has two inter-dependent components:
The first one is a licensing server with a database of licenses and
related information,
and the second part resides in the licensed applications or content.
This system can be configured to accomodate different
types of licensing strategies and formats.
The license in the application is encrypted and is validated by the
licensing server for defined periods.
When a license expires or is revoked, the server application
will disable remote applications and enable renewal messages to licesees.
The system compensates for temporary
unavailibility of licensing servers.
